Communication is important with any client, but with Siemens, an open line of communication is critical to the success of every project. As a leading provider of heavy-duty pumps in North America, Siemens has relied on IDI since 1997 to get their products to customers when they need them.
Since construction crews often need to bring in large, expensive cranes to place Siemens pumps, delays are costly and on-time performance is crucial – especially for over-dimensional industrial motors used at large oil and gas projects like the TransCanada Keystone XL Pipeline Project. To make timely delivery possible, we coordinate manufacturers, construction companies, and riggers to ensure the pumps are ready for shipment and will arrive as needed – even if that means being on-call around the clock during critical times so we can act quickly.
With a mix of freight logistics and highway services including transportation, specialty warehousing and local transfers, we’re able to coordinate the transportation of pumps to warehouse locations, move equipment locally for maintenance, and deliver pumps to construction sites to keep projects moving smoothly.
